It's never too late to change. It's never too late to be the person you set out to be long ago. I found a "Goals" list I made sometime early in 2007, maybe even 2006--checked the date (12/28/2006) looks like I was prepping for some New Years Resolutions. As I went through it, I realized that I haven't achieved what I'd like to. I'm not too far off, but I still have more debt than I planned on having--even if the original goal wasn't realistic ($30K+ in debt gone in 2 1/2 years?) I did achieve one--paid off the loan for the Explorer. Sadly, I took on the loan for the Jetta.
Advice: I read once that you should only invest in things that appreciate in value (houses, education, etc.). Cars, on the other hand, depreciate in value and should not be paid for with debt. If you can avoid that, you should.</blockquote>
I'll keep you posted on how that whole process goes. It's time to work out a budget now that everything pretty set in place, so this should be fun.
